Hi and welcome to ACUK Community Hotel, a side project of the facebook group Animal Crossing Community (UK).
This is a Habbo retroserver made specifically for the users of our Animal Crossing group with the intent of bringing the Community closer on a platform different from the game we all love.
What's a Habbo retroserver though?
Habbo is a social network where users can make and design several rooms, in which they can chat, trade and play with other people.
It was originally created by Sulake, a Finnish Corporation that made the game a kind of gotcha game. Because of this, programmers from all over the world basically rebuilt the game in order to make it accessible to everyone, creating retroservers: sites that mimic the original game and add their own original contents.
How can I play the game?
Simple! First of all you might want to create your account by clicking on Register For Free and filling in all the info on the registration form. Then you'll be logged into the hotel and you'll find yourself at the Reception: you can click on the tiles you want to move to in order to walk around the room; some rooms have arrows placed on the ground: walk on top of those to be teleported to other rooms or sections of the same room, that you couldn't walk to before.
You can also use the Navigator to navigate through the rooms you and the other users made and to make new ones!
Upon registration you will be presented with some default avatars you can chose from; don't worry if you don't like any of those!
You can click on your avatar image situated in the bottom left bar to open the avatar editor and personalise your little pixelated character as you wish
